About the whole Zack Merrick being racist thing, how is him having the saying "weird is the new black" as a part of his clothing line considered racist? Saying "______ is the new black" is a common phrase and it isn't racist.

I can see how it would be perceived as racist, in all honesty I see both sides, but he could have worded it better since people seem to be a little sensitive. I know he meant the color not the race but it can be an easy thing to get stuffy about I guess I don’t know. I choose not to get into these matters most of the time as I see myself as a neutral and as one who does not have the right to talk about race as I am myself not a person of color.

I didn’t know he said this nor where this is stemming from but I’m quite disappointed in what he said although I can see what he meant I’m not condoning that the slogan is right to say at all. Thank you for making me aware of this anon.
